Every Calgary and Ballerini gown is drafted from your daughter's own measurements, so it is made for her and no one else. The charts below show typical measurements by age as a guide, but her gown is never cut from a chart. It is cut from her.

The Five Measurements We Need

Measure her standing straight in light clothing, with the tape snug but not tight.

1. Shoulder to floor: from the top of the shoulder, where a strap would sit, straight down to the floor.
2. Chest: around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms.
3. Waist: around her natural waist, the narrowest point.
4. Shoulder to waist: from the top of the shoulder down to the natural waist.
5. Waist to knee: from the natural waist down to the center of the knee.

How long does shipping take?
Every Calgary and Ballerini dress is handmade to order and ships worldwide in 10 days. We ship with duties paid — what you see is what you pay, with no surprise customs fees at your door.

What size should I order for my daughter's first birthday?
For a first birthday, we recommend ordering the 12–18 month size. Our dresses feature adjustable back ties and flexible waistbands so she can wear it comfortably from her cake smash all the way through her party. When in doubt, size up — the adjustable construction means a larger size will still fit beautifully.

Is the dress comfortable enough for a full day at a castle visit?
Yes. Every Calgary and Ballerini gown is lined with our signature no-itch silk-touch lining — the same technology used in professional bridal wear.
