Where can I buy princess dresses

Where can I buy princess dresses

The Princess Issue · From Our Miami Atelier

From her first birthday to Mom's ball gown: the complete guide to buying a princess dress worth remembering.

Where can I buy princess dresses? You can buy a princess dress at a party store, a big online marketplace, a character store or a couture atelier, and each gives you a very different dress. If you want one that fits her perfectly, feels soft all day and still looks breathtaking in the photos years from now, you want a made-to-measure atelier. We have been one in Miami since 2003, making princess dresses for babies, girls, mothers and grown-up princesses, and delivering them worldwide.

This guide covers every kind of princess dress we make, every fairy tale, how sizing works, how to monogram and personalize a gown, and exactly how to order.

Chapter I

Party Store, Character Store or Couture: What's the Difference?

Most princess dresses sold online are costumes: printed polyester, one-size elastic, glitter that sheds and seams that scratch. They are made for one afternoon. Character stores sell the official look, but in standard sizes, so the dress fits the chart rather than your daughter.

A couture princess dress is different in four ways you can see in every photo:

It fits her. Cut from her own measurements, so it never gapes, slips or drags.

It feels soft. A silk-touch no-itch lining against her skin, with no hoops, wires or glue.

It looks real. Layered tulle, satin, lace and hand-placed details that photograph like a film, not a party store.

It lasts. Finished by hand, so it can be kept as an heirloom or passed down to a little sister.

Chapter II

Baby Princess Dresses

For a first birthday, a christening, a first Christmas or a first trip to see the castle. Baby princess dresses are cut softer and simpler where it matters, so she can crawl, nap and be cuddled, while still looking like the princess in the storybook.

Also loved: our baby Cinderella gown in pale blue tulle. See every design in the Baby Princess Dresses collection, or browse our first birthday dresses.

Chapter III

Princess Dresses for Girls

For ages 2 to 12: birthdays, theme park days, cruise formal nights, the ballet, weddings and the portraits you will frame. Our custom princess dresses for girls range from $899 to $2,500, depending on the silhouette, fabrics and details you choose.

See them all in Princess Dresses for Girls. For little ones in sizes 2T, 3T and 4T, visit our toddler princess dresses, cut with shorter, easier skirts for busy toddlers.

Chapter IV

Shop by Fairy Tale

Every princess has her own colors, fabrics and story. These are the ones mothers ask us for most.

Cinderella

What color is Cinderella's dress? The one everyone pictures is pale, shimmering blue, the ball gown from Charles Perrault's 1697 fairy tale with the glass slippers and the stroke of midnight. Ours come as full tulle ball gowns for girls, a baby Cinderella gown, and a Mommy & Me Cinderella gown so mother and daughter can arrive at the ball together. Start with our Glass Slipper gown for girls.

Snow White

From the Brothers Grimm, the princess with skin as white as snow and lips as red as blood. Most children know her in a blue bodice, a golden skirt and a red cape. We make the Snow White cape and ball gown for girls, the Mirror Mirror gown, a baby Snow White gown and red capes for the whole family. See the full Snow White collection.

Sleeping Beauty

The princess who slept a hundred years, from Perrault's and the Grimms' tales, and the one most famous for pink. Ours include a floor-length Sleeping Beauty gown for girls, a baby Sleeping Beauty gown, and a Mommy & Me Sleeping Beauty gown for Mom.

Beauty and the Beast

The golden ball gown is the one every little girl wants to dance in. Ours is made in layers of gold with lace, with a Mommy & Me golden gown for Mom and a royal prince suit for brother. Start with the golden ball gown for girls, or see the whole Beauty and the Beast collection.

Rapunzel, Alice & More

Lilac and gold for Rapunzel, blue tulle and a white apron for Alice in Wonderland, mint tulle and wings for our fairy princesses, and Christmas princesses from the Nutcracker in our Christmas collection.

Chapter V

Mommy & Me Princess Dresses

The photo every daughter keeps: Mom and her, in matching gowns, as two princesses from the same story. Mom's gown is made to her own measurements and designed alongside her daughter's, so the colors and fabrics match perfectly.

We make matching Mommy & Me gowns for Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, the Nutcracker and many more. See them all in our Mommy & Me collection.

Chapter VI

Princess Dresses for Adults

Some princesses never outgrow it. We make full couture princess gowns for women: for themed weddings and engagement shoots, princess-themed birthdays, cruise formal nights, holiday parties and theatrical events. Each is made to her measurements with the same tulle, satin, lace and hand finishing as our children's gowns.

Chapter VII

Made to Measure: Why It Changes Everything

A princess dress in a store size fits nobody perfectly. Ours are cut from her own measurements, so the bodice sits where it should, the hem falls just above the floor and nothing pulls when she twirls. Choose the size closest to her age, add these in the Notes box at checkout, and our designer confirms every number with you on WhatsApp before we begin sewing.

The Perfect Fit

Her 9 Measurements

1. Height
2. Chest
3. Waist
4. Shoulder width
5. Shoulder to waist
6. Shoulder to floor
7. Waist to floor (or waist to knee for a short dress)
8. Arm length
9. Head circumference (for her crown or headpiece)

For babies, add her weight and measure her lying down. For a floor-length gown, measure her in the shoes she will wear.

Chapter VIII

Monogrammed & Personalized Princess Dresses

The detail that turns a beautiful dress into her dress. Ask us to embroider her initials, her name, her age or the date of the occasion, inside the gown as a hidden keepsake or on the outside as part of the design.

Families add a monogram to a first birthday gown, the name of the bride and groom to a flower girl dress, or "Christmas 2026" to a holiday gown. Years later, when she finds it in the keepsake box, she will know it was made for her alone. Tell us what you would like on WhatsApp when you order.

Chapter IX

Your Questions

Princess Dress Questions Mothers Ask Us

Which princess wears a pink dress?

Sleeping Beauty is the princess most famous for pink, and many girls also love a pink Sugar Plum Fairy or a pink Nutcracker princess at Christmas. Every gown we make can be made in pink.

What princess wears a red dress?

Red belongs to Snow White's cape, the Queen of Hearts and Christmas princesses. A red gown photographs beautifully against snow, gold and greenery.

What princess wears a purple dress?

Rapunzel is the princess most associated with purple and lilac, often paired with gold. Purple is also the traditional color of royalty.

What is the best princess dress for a 5-year-old?

At five, most girls want the full ball gown. Choose one cut to her measurements with a soft lining and no hoops, so she can twirl, sit and dance all day, and let her pick the princess.

Are there comfortable princess dresses for girls?

Yes. Comfort comes from the lining and the fit, not the style. Ours have a silk-touch no-itch lining and no wires or glue, and they are cut to her body so nothing pinches.

How much does a custom princess dress cost?

Our custom princess dresses for girls range from $899 to $2,500, depending on the silhouette, fabrics and details. Baby and first birthday designs start lower; message us your idea for an exact price.
