Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the only nights all year that Magic Kingdom lets grown-ups dress up too — not just the kids. Running on select nights from August 7 through October 31, 2026, it's the rare chance for the whole family, adults included, to show up in full costume for trick-or-treating, the Boo-to-You parade, and Halloween fireworks. Can Adults Really Wear Costumes?

Yes. Adults are welcome — and encouraged — to wear costumes at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a rare exception to Disney's everyday no-adult-costume rule. As long as your ticket is for the party itself (not a regular day ticket), you and your kids can enter in full costume starting around 4:00 PM.

What Are the Rules for Guests 14 and Older?

• No masks. Costume masks of any kind may not be worn by guests 14 and older. Face paint is fine, but the whole face can't be covered.
• No dragging the ground. Costumes — including long princess gowns — cannot reach or drag on the floor.
• Capes must stay above the waist. A cape that goes past the waistline isn't allowed for this age group.
• No full-body or heavily layered costumes. These are strongly discouraged and may trigger extra security screening.
• No weapon-like props or sharp objects.
• No impersonating characters for photos. You can dress as your favorite character, but you can't pose for pictures or sign autographs for other guests while in costume — that's reserved for Disney's official performers.

What About Kids Under 14?

Younger guests have much more flexibility. Costumes and most costume masks are allowed, as long as the mask allows full, unobstructed vision. The same family-friendly, no-weapons rules still apply, but there's no floor-length or cape restriction for this age group.
